The host of the 11th South Asian Games bungled while playing Nepal’s national anthem during the opening match of the badminton event at Paltan’s Gymnasium.
The organisers played the old Nepali anthem “Sri man gambhir” instead of the new one “Saya thunga phulka hami” at the ceremony. They said that they had no idea when and how they would be able to get a copy of the new version of Nepal’s national anthem.
The organisers said they were provided the copy of the anthem by Nepal Olympic Committee and did not realise Nepal has long abrogated and replaced it with a new one.
In the last South Asian Games held in Sri Lanka, the organisers had played the old anthem instead of new one during the final football meet of the football tournament played between Nepal and Pakistan. During then, the orgnaisers had said that they were provided the old version of anthem by the Nepalese Olympic Committee.

The guest gives the wrong anthem and therefore the host has bungled??!! There is NT logic for you. But then according to the NT the Maoists are revolutionaries and the only political party for real change. At least the NT is consistent in their illogic.
