Coordinator of the Army Integration Secretariat Committee Balananda Sharma has said the regrouping of all PLA combatants would be completed by Monday in all cantonments.

The regrouping of the physically challenged combatants, and women combatants with infants was carried out by visiting their residences.

Sharma further said the PLA combatants were not opting for rehabilitation package in regrouping due to the lack of trust among the political parties.

Talking to journalists in the Third Division of the PLA combatants at Shaktikhor, Chitwan, Coordinator Sharma said many combatants were not attracted towards rehabilitation package due to the pathetic condition of the former disqualified combatants who were ousted from the cantonments.

He added that the combatants fear the possibility of change of rules and provisions with the changes in the government leadership and lack of implementation of the past agreements made by the parties.

Only two combatants have opted for rehabilitation package so far.

Sharma said that problems seen during the regrouping process would be resolved through special committee. He opined that the combatants opting for voluntary retirement should be bid farewell instantly by providing them with cash incentives while the integration process should be initiated by preparing standards and bridge courses to those opting for integration.
