The CPN (UML), the ruling party, has decided not to reshuffle the Cabinet in the present situation and to lay stress on the formation of the national consensus government for accelerating the peace process and constitution drafting process.
The party’s Standing Committee on Thursday came up with a decision to this effect. Party Chairman and Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal chaired the meeting.
Talking to the media after the meeting, senior leader KP Sharma Oli said the meeting has decided to make efforts at forming the government of national consensus instead of reshuffling the Cabinet in the present situation.
“The Cabinet would not be reconstituted until and unless a fresh agreement among the parties is reached”, said Party Secretary Shankar Pokharel who also attended the meeting.
