Soaltee Crowne Plaza Kathmandu received a letter of appreciation from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation for ‘Highest contribution in earning Foreign Exchange’ recently. The award was presented on the occasion of the 37th World Tourism Day 2016.
Hall of fame
Qatar Airways has been inducted to the TTG Travel Hall of Fame after winning the Best Middle-Eastern Airline for the eleventh consecutive year at this year’s TTG Travel Awards. The induction criterion to join the Hall of fame includes winning in the same award category for ten consecutive years.
Education for all
Ford Motors has expanded its volunteer projects in Nepal as a part of the eleventh annual Ford Global Caring month. As a part of the project, 36 employees will work with Round Table Nepal, Koseli Foundation to create equal educational opportunities for underprivileged children.
Sharing codes
Turkish Airlines and Air Europa have entered a code-sharing partnership. Air Europa will place its marketing logo on the Istanbul-Madrid route operated by Turkish Airlines while Turkish Airlines’ logo will be placed on Madrid-Las Palmas/Ibiza/Palma de Mallorca and Madrid-Havana/Santo Domingo/Lima flights operated by Air Europa.
