The Nepalese football team restored some lost pride beating Bhutan in match of its group at the Bangabandu National Stadium on Wednesday. Nepal had lost two earlier matches against Bangladesh and Maldives. In Wednesday’s match, Striker Anil Gurung scored two goals in the 35th and 73rd minute.

In cricket, Pakistan humbled the Nepalese team by 91 runs in Mirpur Cricket Stadium. The world 20-20 champion Pakistan piled up 173 in the allotted 20 overs with the loss of just two wickets. Nepalese batsmen failed to match them, and were restricted to 82 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs.
