Andreas Bachmann: Dear Nepali Times Thanking you very much for this article. To be tought in a few words and shown very beautiful photgraphs of many nice Nepalis. One should be on sites these days! Andreas Bachmann
Dinkar Sharma: Let me first of all congratulate Sajha Samsthan on adding 30 buses in Kathmandu and improving the public transport system in the city. Public transport is a lifeline of the city for those who cannot afford to won their own vehicles. Likewise Nepal Yatayat is doing a wonderful job in providing service to the public, however the vehicle pollution the buses create needs to be stopped immediately. Sajha and Nepal Yatayat should convert their vehicles to CNG which produces less emission. Some one like Mr. Kul Man Ghising who made impossible possible in ending the load shedding in the city, must come forward and ban all vehicles running in the city which are crossing the limits of pollution. Let me take this occasion to show my respect to Mr. Kul Man for the wonderful work he...
Shyam Adhikari: Excellent work in serving the public who do not have vehicles. However, we need more environment friendly vehicles. In Kathmandu there are too many vehicles run by diesel which is the main cause of pollution. Nepal Yatayat is doing wonderful job serving the commuters. There is only one problem with it and it is the massive pollution that it creates in Kathmandu. Why can’t we have CNG run public buses so that pollution is diminished to the maximum. Can we have some one like Kul Man Ghising who can perform miracles in reducing pollution in the city like that of ending load shedding. Kul Man Ghising should be awarded and rewarded for making impossible possible. We need more officials like to make our country great =.

yam gurung: Hope Prince Harry visit will bring to an end to 200 years of racial discrimination and human rights violation by the United Kingdom government, against the Gurkha soldiers and their families from Nepal. #1fact,Gurkha families are still facing family separation in UK. #2fact,Post July 97 Gurkhas pension are still paid according to the Indian pay code? #3fact,Gurkhas are still barred from the basic voting and human rights issues’. This issues’ is all about the British morality,to correct the past mistake and create a healthy and pleasant environment between Nepal and UK government. Yam Gurung (rtd) UK
Ghale Bal Tamang: We all are very happy over men’s football win at SAG. It gave a much needed fillip and joy to the Nepalis suffering from the earthquake, blockade and football corruption fatigue. Congratulations, welcome, reception and cash incentives to the winning team are fine and they deserve all of them. It is no small achievement to beat a team that represents a billion and a quarter population. However, we should be investing more on preparing the team for the next game and building infrastructure. Our women’s football team, which was a runner up in the SAG, seems to have been forgotten totally. Our media remained silent on our women footballers. I don’t want to see us become a nation we only worship the victorious but neglect the one who did not make it to the...
oswald: Thank you for publishing. I knew the proces but didn’t see it in pictures. Good photograher in difficult circumstances. Merry Christmas from the Netherlands. With kind regards, Oswald
Isabel Schneider: I just came back from Nepal a few weeks ago and enjoyed ABC trek very much because it wasn’t overcrowded. I was the only guest in my lodge both in Landruk and in Ghandruk… If I had the money I’d book a flight back to Kathmandu in a heartbeat and be off into the mountains again, in fact, I regret not to have stayed longer and doing some more treks…
Finnen Morris: Ha ha…a bit different than the services that were there in the 1970’s! I’m happy to hear the trails are buzzing again. Blessings to all in Nepal.
Prativa Sam: Gurung cottage been there serves you organic coffe with internet facility.Ghandruk
Gauri Nath Rimal: The antonym of Secular is Sacred.Pasahupatinath is Sacred, only the high priest can go inside.
ravi raj kaur: dismantling the old government after the rain
Austin Lord: Happy to hear about the school being rebuilt in Saramthali. Otherwise, this article is filled with inaccuracies and unhelpful exaggerations: The Association for International Solidarity in ASIA has NOT provided CGI sheets to all of the residents of four VDCs (presumably Bhorle, Jibjibe, Yarsa and Saramthali). That would be thousands of households… likely they delivered to a few wards in each VDC. Claiming full coverage is incredibly irresponsible. Further, several other NGOs are operating in those areas, and have been distributing CGI sheets long before the group (i.e. SEEDS). My own volunteer organization distributed several hundred tarps in both Yarsa and Saramthali VDCs. Yarsa and Saramthali have also received significant food aid. Nuwakot is not “waiting for...
D]: that’s not true. most emergency goods (medicines, clean drinking water, food, sheets) can be carried in
Niraj Khadka: can carry long term packages by porter bt emergency relief package is likely impossible to supply by them
David Seddon: whats wrong with using local porters to carry goods to villages? employment (incomes) & gets goods there
