Himalayan Blues Festival

The spirit of Nepali folklore harmonises with the rhythm of blues for the fifth annual Himalayan Blues Festival. Since its inception in 2007, the festival has brought blues far from its historical roots in the United States to Kathmandu and even India since last year. The festival offers a unique alternative to music festivals usually presented in Katmandu with its diverse assortment of blues music. With musicians traveling from the reaches of Australia to Russia, the festival this year aims to bring together aficionados of blues under the same roof. The festival kicked off on Thursday, there is still some more to get hold of through the weekend.
