The palace has pushed civilians into a do-or-die situation by closing all the doors to peaceful political resolution. The royal regime has been aligning with religious fascists and military dictators and distancing itself from those international personalities, organisations, institutions and countries advocating for peace and democracy. The Maoists want the United Nations and international community to break their relationships with the royal regime and to support Nepalis' aspirations for peace and democracy. We appreciate in principle the Basic Operating Guidelines of the UN and other development agencies and organisations. We have instructed cadres to cooperate as per the specific situation of each place. We also appeal to the international community and development agencies to work in regular consultation and cooperation with our party and new people's representatives at the central and local level to implement the development programs under the current civil war situation. We hope that imperialism will not be around when the New Nepali Year starts.
