The only solution, one that has been used to resolve conflicts around the globe, has never been considered for Nepal. Of the responsible parties, neither the palace, the parties nor the rebels have expressed an interest in international monitoring. All of them have such different approaches for peace, but on one thing they present a united front?no international monitoring. If they cannot go further there will be no resolution. The more I watch things unfold in Nepal, the less likely it seems that the people in power are interested in peace.
