As I went through 'Cry, education' by Augustine Thomas SJ (Letters, # 157), for a moment I was dumbfounded. It was surprising to find a mind that can think from the perspective of both a teacher and a student, both the victim and the criminal at the same time. What he wrote was indeed appropriate in the context of our education system. Students blame teachers and teachers fall short of their responsibilities. We need immediate changes. I hope this letter was read by everyone involved in the dirty game of polluting education with politics.
