The bad news first: the Lumbini International Marathon, originally slated for 3 May, has been postponed indefinitely due to security concerns and the overall situation in Nepal. But there's no need to pack away those running shoes just yet. The annual Tenzing-Hillary Everest Marathon will take place as usual on 29 May, the day the mountaineering duo made their historic ascent. Many foreign and Nepali runners have already registered, and acclimatisation and trekking for foreign runners begins 15 May.
