BOLT FROM HEAVEN: The turret of Pratap Pur at Swayambhu which was renovated after a fire in 2004 was hit by lightning on Tuesday morning's storm. Many locals saw it as a bad omen. This pigeon was killed by the bolt. Tourists and TV journalists inspecting the damage. One of the guardian deities of the shrine was also destroyed.
