The political crisis that Nepal has been going through for the past few months might be resolved within a few days. Prakash, the General Secretary of the CPN Unity Centre, who met the prime minister this morning informed that there will be discussions between the NC, the CPN-UML, the Maoists and the CPN Unity Centre on 27 Mangshir and that the seven party's meeting will formalize the agreement on the same day.

Since the Maoists will be attending the meeting in Janakpur on 26 Mangshir, the discussion between the NC, CPN-UML and the Maoists will only take place on the 27th of Mangshir. Sources say that the NC, the CPN-UML and the Maoists have already reached a formal agreement on the interim parliament fully committing to the issue about republic and including it on the constitution while they have come to an informal understanding on the proportional representation in the constitutional assembly polls and increasing the numbers of the members of the constituent assembly.

Maoist Chairman Puspha Kamal Dahal has stated that the political turmoil in the country will be resolved within the month of Mangshir. On his way to inaugurate the meeting of the Madhesi Rastriya Mukti Morcha to be held in Janakpur, Puspha Kamal Dahal informed that the flexibility showed by the NC had contributed to the agreement. According to him, the NC had agreed on proportional representation in the procedures of the constituent assembly elections.

In the press meet organized by Revolutionary Press Organisation in Makwanpur, Puspha Kamal Dahal informed that the party would join a unified government. When asked about the resignation of Madhesi MPs, Puspha Kamal Dahal claimed that the Maoists were the only party with a neutral view on the problem. The program was also attended by Maoist leaders Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Rambahadur Thapa "Badal", Matrika Yadav and other Maoist leaders.
