Going under

A few points in response to articles in the last issue (#311) of your esteemed organ:

. Mr Under-My-Hat, please keep on peddling your non-stop nonsense: it's the only thing that stops me jumping off the Dharara.
. I'll eat my hat if Sharad Chandra Shaha wasn't being seriously evasive in many of his responses in the interview ('I wasn't King Gyanendra's adviser').
. In response to the Spanish letterwriter ('Be wise'), isn't the key question to ask the electorate in the forthcoming constituent elections: 'Do you want Paras as your next king?'
. Thanks to Rajiv Kafle ('Let's stop being polite') for eloquently and accurately pointing out that most development agencies don't explore their mistakes honestly and constructively, but instead write in their reports that 'lessons were learned (whether they were or were not)' and anyway forget any lessons by the time the next round of staff are appointed.

On-on.

Stephen Keeling,
Lalitpur

. It's not fair that after writing such a hilarious masterpiece ('To end the news, the main points again', #312) Kunda Dixit has decided to terminate his column. Don't go underground just yet!

S Sharma,
Bag Bajar
