As the demand for a federal democratic republic is spreading all over Nepal, Prime Minister GP Koirala said that the king should included in the new governement when it is formed.
Koirala's remarks came at a get-together organised at his residence in Baluwatar on the occasion of 40th annual general meeting of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) on Sunday. He admitted that the differences need to be solved but he is trying to include opposing forces- the Maoists and the King be a part of the new government. "I am the one who wants to include both in the government," Koirala said.
Koirala also said that in order to attain inclusive democracy all the forces need to start agreeing on issues. He made similar comments about including the king in new government in Biratnagar after Jana Andolan and was criticised by the opposition party leaders for making controversial statements.
