After reading Under My Hat, I cam up with my own list of suggested holiday hotspots the actors in Nepal's political stage should consider this summer:

The royal family: enjoy some summer sun in Switzerland, take the Glacier Express and mingle with former dictators at Klosters. Swiss banks are open 24/7

The Koiralas: A football holiday in Germany during the world cup. The profits from various kickbacks are still there to spend despite a sizeable amount being lavished on mansions in Kathmandu. The Comrades: A forest adventure in northern Sri Lanka. Enjoy the local cuisine and learn new acts of barbarism under the expert tutelage of the LTTE.

Nepal, Oli and Jhalanath: a bus trip in the Sunderbans paid for by trade unions. Sadbhabana: Explore the mysteries of Bihar and spend a night in the company of Laloo and enjoy home cooked prawn curry and kheer.

And for myself while the above are away...a peaceful two weeks in Nepal free from bandas, arson and bloodshed. Some quality time with near and dear ones.
