Assorted sushi with wasabi and soya sauce are served for appetisers, along with Korean kimchi, Indonesian gado gado salad, and Nepali gundruk. The grill bar serves white fish, chicken satay, and pork scallops. Choices also include steaming dim sum, and the Sliced Lamb Bulgogi and Thai Red Curry Chicken are must tries as main courses. "The grilled fish and the lamb were delicious," says Sergio Amati, an Italian visitor at the hotel. The Malaysian rice bokiba, among others, is a dessert specialty.
"We have tried to put together spicy as well as subtle flavours to suit our visitors' tastes," says Chef Raj Kumar Adhikari, who has put in 25 years of experience as chef in renowned hotels across Asia for the festival.
The Oriental Express food festival is held every Friday 7pm onwards. Rs 999 per person.
