Maoists, who have been criticized for encouraging ethnic politics in the nation, have decided to break their ethnic fronts. Talking to the press in Janakpur this morning, Maoist Chairman Puspha Kamal Dahal said that the Maoists had come to this decision since ethnic fronts are for limited time periods.

Dahal, who claimed that the party had provided opportunities for many young madhesi leaders, said that the party would now allow the madhesi leaders to be a part of the central leadership. He added that the resignations of the madhesi leaders in the NC and other political parties would not affect his party.

Speaking to the reporters, Dahal said that if the political crisis in the nation is not solved within two days, the country will have to face severe consequences. Although both the NC and the Maoists have become more flexible, Dahal warned that if the parties fail to resolve the issues, Maoists will launch a fresh series of peaceful protests in the streets and the parliament.
