Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has been selected to receive the PATA/Business Traveller Germany Vasco da Gama Award as the Company of the Year 2003. The award is given to a member organisation of the Pacific Area Travel Assosication (PATA). "The committee wishes to recognise the outstanding work the Nepal Tourism Board has carried out over many years in the promotion and development of travel and tourism to the PATA region from Europe and the positive actions the Board has undertaken to face the hard times the industry has been recently confronted with," the jury said. The award will be presented at the international tourism fair in Berlin in March 2003.
