We wouldn't mind paying taxes, if we knew where the tax money goes. And if it goes into someone else's pocket, why should we pay? (From the Nepali press, "UN salaries, tax", #65). Other workers in government and private sector pay tax, but do they know what has been done with their money? Has education improved? Have services improved? Has security improved? Nope. It is not just UN workers, no one should pay tax if it is being used for personal or political benefit-like adding more ministers and departments.
