After reading Under My Hat (#12) on the Thai ambassador being the most powerful man in Nepal because he got the Maharajgunj Road rebuilt, I must draw your attention to the road connecting New Baneswor to Battisputali. Bits of the middle were asphalted, but the two ends are still unpaved. Vehicles leave behind a trail of dust, thus jeopardising the health of all and sundry. Will the Department of Roads kindly explain what on earth prevents them from paving the remaining sections? Or shall we ask the Thai ambassador to intervene again?
