Your story "Breeding ground for greed" (#1) came as a shock to many of us. People working for the United Nations are among the best paid in the country, and their greed is reprehensible.
What I fail to understand is why the Ministry of Health approved the official\'s candidacy in the first place and gave him an extension after his first term. It seems to me that this is just the tip of the iceberg, and we have reasons to believe that senior officials, including ministers, were hand in glove with UNFPA staff.
The real sufferers are Nepalis living in the periphery. Will the anti-corruption body follow up or will everything be hushed up?
