Exactly a week after agreeing to forge consensus with the ruling coalition, opposition parties are preparing for a showdown in the streets. The meeting of 13 opposition parties at CPN-UML central office in Balkhu on Wednesday decided to finalise the protest program against the government by tomorrow. The meeting also decided to form an inter-party coordination committee to facilitate the protest program.

After the meeting, NC leader Ram Chandra Paudel informed the journalists that the protest will decisively unseat the government through popular movement from the streets. Among the parties attending the meeting were NC, CPN-UML, CPN-Maoists and RPP. RSS
