Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai had earlier sacked Sadvawana Party leader Sarita Giri from the post following her controversial decision to transfer Director General of Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) Purna Chandra Bhattarai. Giri had been asked to roll back her decision and summoned by the Prime Minister on Monday to explain her decision but instead, she organised a press conference and charged the ministry officials and staffs of involving in corruption. This prompted PM Bhattarai to sack Giri from the post.
The government has also transferred State Minister for Land Reform Jwala Kumari Sah to Tourism Ministry and State Minister for Tourism Dilip Maharjan has been brought into her place. State Minister Sah had organised a press statement and accused Land Reform Minister Bhim Prasad Gautam of transferring employees by taking bribes.
