The term of the Constituent Assembly, was expiring on 31 August. The term of the CA had been extended by three months on May 28 earlier this year.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal’s Parliamentary Party leader Chandra Bahadur Gurung registered a protest note against the intended CA extension. But the House rejected the RPP-N notion by voice majoirity, and Speaker Subas Chandra initiated discussion on the the Bill. The Bill was later endorsed with majority.
