The Maoists have have decided to call back their ministers from Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal’s cabinet by Saturday evening after the PM did not reshuffle the cabinet and induct the new office bearers proposed by the party.
The meeting of the party’s standing committee at its headquarters on Saturday decided to submit a collective resignation of all the ministers to the PM later today.
However, party spokesperson Dinanath Sharma said that the party will wait until Sunday to see if the PM will induct the new cabinet members before withdrawing from the posts.
If the Maoists withdraw from the government, PM Khanal will be compelled to either induct the new cabinet members or step down from his chair.
