The Legislature-Parliament completed deliberations on the priorities and the principles of the Appropriation Bill for Fiscal Year 2011/012. Parliament had been holding discussions on the bill since the last three days.

The Parliament held discussions on the priorities and principles of the budget on June 24, 26 and 27. This is the first time after the election of the Constituent Assembly that the Parliament has held discussions on the priorities and principles of the Appropriation Bill.

At the meeting of the Legislature-Parliament, Speaker Subas Nemwang informed the House that the Parliament Secretariat will submit to the Finance Ministry the point raised by the MPs during the deliberations.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bharat Mohan Adhikari had tabled the Appropriation Bill in the Legislature-Parliament for discussion on June 22. He has said that the budget of the fiscal year 2011/012 will be brought as per the suggestions the parliamentarians furnished during the pre-budget discussion.
