Bottlenecks in the supply of petroleum products have come to an end following the withdrawal of the agitation by petroleum entrepreneurs.
Tanker entrepreneurs under the banner of Central Petroleum Supply Entrepreneurs’ Association had halted petrol supply right after the Nepal Oil Corporation decided to add 60 tankers on Kathmandu-Raxaul route. The depots in Raxaul, Amalekhgunj and Hetauda were also shut down indefinitely to protest the decision.
Closure of the depots had invited crisis of petroleum products. However. petrol supply and distribution became normal Sunday onwards.
The NOC had withdrawn its decision to add new tankers on Kathmandu-Raxul route. Presently, around 300 tankers ferry petroleum products from Raxul to Kathmandu.
