UCPN (Maoists) party central committee has passed Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s proposal in favor of peace and constitution by a majority on Friday saying that the party should make an effort to complete the constitution within the stipulated time. The central committee has also directed its leaders to work on the modality to integrate its combatants in the national army.

Meanwhile, the decision of the party’s central committee has upset party’s vice chairman Mohan Baidya, who has written “note of dissent” against Dahal’s proposal saying that the party should continue with “people’s revolt” as agreed in its Palungtar plenum.
