Call a regular session of the House

Leaders of ruling parties have urged Prime Minister Mahdav Kumar Nepal to forge consensus and immediately call a regular session of the Legislature-Parliament.

The appeal was forwarded during a meeting of ruling parties called by the Prime Minister at Baluwatar today morning regarding the Parliament’s regular session.

The Prime Minister has been urged to immediately call a regular session, said Law Minister Prem Bahadur Singh, who was present in the meeting.

The meeting also concluded that there is no need to make any decision regarding the UNMIN’s term extension as the government had agreed to extend its present term for the last time earlier.

The leaders of ruling partners in the meeting urged the Prime Minister to forge consensus on the integration of Maoist army combatants and their rehabilitation, ending YCL’s paramilitary structure, return of the seized property and some other important issues.

Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala and leader Ram Chandra Poudel; UML’s senior leader KP Oli and General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel; Chairman of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Loktantrik and Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachhadhar; Chairman of Terai Madhes Loktantrik Party Mahanta Thakur; General Secretary of CPN (ML) CP Mainali and Chairman of Sadhbhawana Party and Supply Minister Rajendra Mahato were present in the meeting.
