Indifference

Thank you Rajendra Pradhan ('Indifferent to differences', #224) for calling a spade a spade. It was time somebody pointed out what was what to the mainstream media that has been perpetuating a myth. One example of unfortunate intolerance that I can cite right away are the hate calls received by FM stations that broadcast in 'national' languages.

. I found it very contentious that Rajendra Pradhan should be excusing violence in his column 'Indifferent to differe'Unfortunately it is only through struggle-and sometimes even violence-that we learn to accept, value and really tolerate differences.') There is no justification for violence either by those who instigate it or by those who use it as an excuse for counter-violence and revenge. As Gandhi taught us, it is a never-ending cycle.
