Terrosim and the state

I find Daniel Lak's assertion ("Two months after", #68) that US foreign policy is all right because the makers of such policy are accountable is patently ridiculous. I'd be very interested to know who in the United States has ever been brought to account for the victims of US sponsored terrorism.

Thumbs up to Daniel Lak for the splendid article about America's war on terrorism. He rightly points out that Americans, though not "angels", are "accountable" for their actions. Nobody has a right to kill innocent civilians, either in the name of Allah or in the name of politics. If fanatics like the Taliban and so-called holy warriors could understand this, the world will be a safer place.
