The government has appointed Sushil Gyawali as the CEO of the post-April earthquake National Reconstruction Authority.
A cabinet meeting finalised Gyawali’s name on Friday evening. Gyawali is Executive Director at the Town Development Fund in the past.
Nearly eight months after the devastating April earthquake, the Parliament had passed a much-delayed bill last week to set up the authority. The authority is responsible for spending $4.1 billion pledged by donors at a conference in Kathmandu early this year for Nepal’s reconstruction.
The government also appointed six members of the National Planning Commission (NPC) on Friday.
